Grale was founded in 2018 in Stockholm and has developed award-winning plant-based alternatives to conventional plastics, offering biodegradable, compostable, and non-toxic products such as straws, coffee cups, and single-use bags that look and function like petroleum-based plastics. The company’s symbol and visual identity communicate its mission for a circular, sustainable future. The identity features a flower-like logo representing leaf decomposition, a warm coral-based color palette that avoids typical greenwashing cues, and a custom wordmark using the friendly serif Grenette typeface. Paired with energetic and positive messaging, this identity positions Grale as a scalable, practical, and optimistic solution to global plastic pollution.
